Why are the lions in Munich?

Since middle of May 2006 you can find colourfully painted life sized lion figures all over Munich.

For this cultural and charity project the sponsoring society Leo "Förderverein Münchner Löwenparade Leo e. V." was founded under the auspices of Munich´s Lord Mayor Christian Ude. The strong advertising medium will be auctioned to the organisation Munich children in need "Münchner Kinder in Not". The entire Net profit will go to the organisation.

The second auction has taken place on the 14.02.2007.
