In 1911 the citizens of Munich gave this park to the Prince Regent Luitpold for his 90th birthday.The 33 hectar park, with its many lime trees, is defined by the Luitpold hill - previously a rubble tip. Refreshment can be taken in the Bamberger Haus, the little palace in the park, which has a café-restaurant and an art gallery "Cartoon-Caricatur-Contor".
